Wild Temple: Grove of Diana | Aug 25 3:00pm - 5:00pm

$35.00

Journey to the sacred grove of Nemi and discover the history, symbolism, and enduring mysteries of the Temple of Diana Nemorensis. Together, we'll explore Diana's role as guardian of the wild places, the moon, liminal thresholds, and the sacred landscape surrounding her famed sanctuary. Drawing from historical sources, archaeology, and surviving threads of Italian folk tradition, we'll examine how devotion to Diana has evolved across the centuries. The evening will conclude with a simple tree offering inspired by ancient devotional customs, where each participant will receive a hand-dyed ribbon to tie to our tree as a personal petition, prayer, or blessing to the goddess and receive one to take home to keep as a lucky charm.

This class is hosted at Wilderness Maven Apothecary and taught by Rowan. Rowan as a healer is devoted to revealing the deeper relationship between people, plants, and the living world. Her work is rooted in the belief that healing is both practical and sacred, weaving together the wisdom of traditional herbalism with ancestral folk practices to support the body, mind, and spirit. Guided by ancestral lineages and years of study in traditional European folk healing, Rowan draws from a diverse background in herbalism, psychology, grief work, folk magic, witchcraft, and contemplative spiritual practices. Whether teaching, preparing botanical remedies, or holding space for personal transformation, she is dedicated to helping others reconnect with the wisdom of nature, honor the knowledge carried by their ancestors, and awaken their own innate capacity for healing.
