Sweetgrass, also known as Holy Grass, is a long, hardy herb with a sweet vanilla-like scent. Many Indigenous tribes use sweetgrass in prayer, smudging, and purifying ceremonies. It is considered a sacred plant, and the smoke from the sweetgrass is thought to attract positive energy. This dried herb is rolled into tight braids which do not burn, but rather smolder slowly like incense.
Our sweetgrass comes from ethical wildcrafters, and is gathered in a responsibly, ecologically sound, and respectful way. The plants were not harmed and nothing was wasted.
